Labor Commissioner Rivera Holmes Issues Statement After Georgia Named No. 1 State for Business 12 Years in a Row
Today, Georgia Labor Commissioner Bárbara Rivera Holmes released the following statement after Governor Brian P. Kemp announced that Georgia was once again named the No. 1 state for business:
"Georgia has been named the No. 1 state for business for the 12th year in a row, and that didn't happen by chance. We earned this title through years of smart investment in our people, our infrastructure and our communities.
Georgia's workforce is among the most skilled and determined in America, ready to compete and win every day. Businesses across the globe know that when they choose Georgia, they gain exceptional talent and a place where growth thrives. Twelve straight years at the top proves what Georgia does best: Create opportunity and deliver results.
I want to thank Gov. Brian P. Kemp, Georgia Department of Economic Development Commissioner Pat Wilson and our local partners statewide. Together, we're setting the national standard for economic success and paving the way for Georgia to become the nation's top state for talent."
