As part of the transfer of all Wagner-Peyser activities to the Technical College System of Georgia (TCSG), the Georgia Department of Labor (GDOL) today announced the transition of Georgia's Foreign Labor Certification (FLC) program to WorkSource Georgia, a program led by TCSG's Office of Workforce Development. This collaboration involves the transfer of all program responsibilities, staff, and activities, effective January 1, 2024.

As part of the transition, WorkSource Georgia now assumes the responsibility of providing employers with the U.S. Department of Labor's mandated foreign labor certification process services, which includes dedicated support to employers navigating the temporary foreign labor H-2A and H-2B processes.

"We are committed to working hand-in-hand with WorkSource Georgia/TCSG to ensure employers participating in the Foreign Labor Certification program continue to receive the same high-quality services without any disruptions," said Commissioner Bruce Thompson. "The transition of knowledgeable, experienced staff from GDOL will help support a smooth, seamless transition for employers statewide."
To ensure the uninterrupted workflow of job orders and scheduled inspections, Foreign Labor Certification employers will receive comprehensive communications and program notifications via email and TCSG's Foreign Labor Certification program webpage.

"TCSG is excited to bring the Foreign Labor Certification program over to WorkSource Georgia.  The partnership we have with GDOL will ensure that the program transitions without interruptions to service," said TCSG Commissioner Greg Dozier.  "We remain committed to building on the work that GDOL has done, and we appreciate the support and expertise they have provided during this move."
