Federal Disaster Unemployment Assistance (DUA) Now Available
If you've been impacted by Tropical Storm Debby or Hurricane Helene, you may be eligible for Disaster Unemployment Assistance (DUA) to help compensate for income lost as a direct result of the storm. Residents of numerous Georgia counties can apply easily online at dol.georgia.gov or visit any GDOL career center for in-person assistance. Tropical Storm Debby DUA Declaration on September 25
The affected counties include:
- Bryan
- Bulloch
- Chatham
- Effingham
- Evans
- Liberty
- Long
- Screven
Applicants may be eligible for a weekly benefit of as much as $365 beginning the week of August 11, 2024. Applications must be submitted for these counties by Monday, November 25, 2024.
