Unemployment Insurance (UI) Orientation Video

What is it?

The Unemployment Insurance (UI) Orientation Video provides an overview of the rights and responsibilities of claimants requesting UI benefits. Claimants must watch the UI orientation video to complete the application process.

Who must watch the video?

Claimants filing for unemployment insurance benefits, online or by paper application.

Is it required?

Yes, the UI Orientation Video is mandatory. It is part of the online application process. Claimants must acknowledge that they have viewed the video in its entirety and understand the next steps required before they can submit their claim for confirmation. Claimants who complete a paper application for Unemployment Insurance will be required to view the UI Orientation video in a designated area at their local Career Center. Upon completion, they must read and sign the Acknowledgement of Your Rights and Responsibilities for Unemployment Benefits, form DOL-4902.
