We are excited to announce that the Georgia Department of Labor (GDOL) will launch a new unemployment insurance (UI) system in 2026. This will be the most significant update to Georgia's unemployment system in state history.

What UI Inspire Will Deliver

UI Inspire is being designed to make unemployment services faster, easier, and simpler for workers and employers.

This new system reflects GDOL's commitment to improving services, strengthening self-service tools, and providing better support for the people and businesses that call Georgia home.

For Unemployment Benefit Recipients

With UI Inspire, you will be able to:

  • See your estimated weekly and total benefit amounts when filing a claim
  • Review wage information reported by Georgia employers and wages earned in other states
  • Report missing or incorrect wage information
  • Request weekly benefit payments, view payment history and enter your work search online
  • Choose how you want to receive correspondence and updates, including email, mail, text messages, and reminders
  • View all correspondence and decisions electronically
  • Submit appeal requests online
  • Complete claim and overpayment questionnaires online
  • View overpayment information and waiver requests online
  • File Disaster Unemployment Assistance (DUA) claims and upload required documents online

For Employers

A streamlined, fully digital experience designed to reduce administrative burden:

  1. Any employer, including government and household employers, can register online
  2. File tax and wage reports, correct wage information, and submit payments through a single portal
  3. Respond to unemployment claims and notices without a separate login
  4. File appeals, update account information, and request account closure online
  5. Save frequently used tools as favorites for quick access
