New MyUI Claimant Portal
The Georgia Department of Labor (GDOL) continues to take steps to protect claimants and their personal information while making the customer experience the best one possible. Recently, we implemented system improvements that will allow a single sign-on to the MyUI Claimant Portal (MyUI), allowing access to multiple applications without having to sign into each online unemployment application separately. Our GDOL homepage also changed to help customers easily navigate and access services directly from the MyUI Claimant Portal.
Once logged into MyUI, a claimant dashboard will display a customer’s current claim status and a menu of online services. Claimants will be able to file a claim, request a weekly payment, report weekly work searches, view monetary and eligibility determinations, change payment methods, and much more. The dashboard will also display potential issue(s) that could affect eligibility for unemployment benefits. In some instances, an action that must be performed to resolve an issue will be indicated in the Action Needed column. Although determinations will be available on MyUI, a copy will still be mailed to the address on a customer’s claim account.
The Weekly Work Search application will be modified to allow claimants to report on various types of job search activities, such as job fairs, creating résumés, etc. Claimants are required to report work search activities for each week a payment is requested.
Applications open in the right pane of the MyUI Claimant Portal. Correspondence will open in a new window. Additionally, closing a window will not log a customer out of the portal. Claimants should always log out of MyUI when done and keep login information confidential. Claimants are urged to keep contact information accurate and up to do date to ensure they will receive GDOL notices both by mail and email.
Please see our new video on the MyUI Claimant Portal that details the capabilities of the new portal.
