What To Do After Your Claim Is Filed

Individual Claims
If you filed your own claim for unemployment, you will receive an email acknowledging that your claim was received, but not yet processed. You will receive a second email informing you when the claim has been processed, and providing a link to next steps.

Next Steps After You File Your Own Unemployment Claim

Employer Filed Partial Claims
If your employer filed a claim on your behalf, you do not have to request weekly payments. These will be issued within 48 hours after your employer submits your weekly claim.

Check the Status of Your Claim

You may check the status of your claim and payments in the MyUI portal. A password is required. If your employer filed on your behalf, go to Create/Forgot Password and/or PIN to create a password.
