Employment with the GDOL

Thank you for your interest in employment with the Georgia Department of Labor (GDOL). We would like to make your application process a satisfying and rewarding experience. To better serve you, please take a minute to read and familiarize yourself with the following information.

The GDOL accepts employment applications and résumés for current job opportunities. When applying for employment, submit a separate State of Georgia Application for Employment or résumé for each current position for which you wish to be considered. Additional information about your background may be submitted on a résumé with the application.

Please provide a complete, detailed description of your training and work experience; be as specific as possible - the reviewer cannot assume any information that is not fully described on the application. Once an application and/or résumé is received, it will be evaluated to determine if the minimum employment qualifications for the position for which you are applying have been met. Additionally, the hiring manager will select only the most qualified applicants to interview; therefore, every applicant may not be interviewed.

All applications or résumés must be received by U.S. mail, hand delivered, or faxed by 5pm on the application deadline date. Applications or résumés emailed will not be considered.

Applicants are subject to employment, criminal, and background checks. Some jobs require pre-employment and/or random drug testing.

The GDOL is a registered participant in the federal work authorization program commonly known as E-Verify, and uses such program to verify employment eligibility of all employees hired on or after July 1, 2007.

Federally-Issued User ID #46251
Date of Authorization: 06/28/2007

Employees hired new to state government positions on or after July 1, 1996 will be in unclassified service.

In accordance with the Immigration Reform Control Act of 1986, the Department employs U.S. Citizens and authorized aliens. All applicants are required to verify their identity and employment eligibility.

The Georgia Department of Labor is an equal opportunity employer/program.
