Unemployment Insurance Proposed New Rule, June 8, 2022

NOTICE OF AMENDMENTS TO EMPLOYMENT SECURITY LAW

(Notice 2022-01)

TO ALL INTERESTED PERSONS AND PARTIES:

In compliance with O.C.G.A. § 50-13-4 and pursuant to the authority contained in O.C.G.A. § 34-2-6(a)(4) and 34-8-70(b), the Georgia Department of Labor gives notice that it proposes:

•    To adopt Rule 300-2-3-.19 Delinquent Pandemic Quarter Interest

Attached with this notice is a synopsis and exact copy of the proposed Rule. 

To provide the public an opportunity to comment upon and provide input into the formulations of the proposed Rule, a public hearing will be held at 10:00 AM, July 8, 2022, in Room 101A of the Department’s headquarters at the address below. An exact copy of the synopsis and rule are available on the Department's website at dol.georgia.gov

The Department must receive all comments regarding the adoption of the above referenced Rule from interested persons and parties no later than the closing of the hearing on July 8, 2022. Oral statements presented at the hearing must be concise to permit all interested persons an opportunity to be heard. Written comments must be sent to the Georgia Department of Labor, Attn: Legal Services, Suite 600, 148 Andrew Young International Blvd., NE, Atlanta, GA 30303.
