Revised Separation Notice DOL-800
Georgia Employment Security Law Rules 300-2-7-.06 states "Employers are required to complete Form DOL-800, "Separation Notice", for each worker separated regardless of the reason for separation (except when mass separation Form DOL-402 and Form DOL-402A notices are filed)."
The Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security (CARES) Continued Assistance Act of 2020 requires employers to notify each individual of the availability of unemployment insurance (UI) at the time of separation. The Georgia Department of Labor (GDOL), Separation Notice, DOL-800, has been revised and expanded advising of potential eligibility for unemployment benefits and instructions on how to file a claim. Please immediately discard previous versions and begin using the updated 7/21 version.
